Welcome to SANDVELD HUNTING LODGE, a magnificent Kalahari game farm 100km north of Vryburg. The farm is situated in the Piet Plessis district in the North-West Province of South Africa, a mere five hours drive from O.R Thambo International airport (Johannesburg) and 100km from the Vryburg landing strip.

SANDVELD HUNTING LODGE is a 1 100 Hectare Game Farm, home to a unique variety of indigenous and exotic game including the oryx, tsessebe, black and blue wildebeest, giraffe, roan antelope, hippopotamus and Bengal tigers (for viewing pleasure only) to mention but a few.

The large amount of bird species makes the lodge a true paradise for bird watchers. The farm is a typical Kalahari bushveld, with large open plains surrounded by Kalahari bush. The typical Kalahari feel is enhanced by the vast amount of indigenous camel-thorn trees and waterholes. We also cater for trophy hunting as well as plains and bushveld hunting. We put high emphasis on sustainable use of the natural resources and on moral and ethical hunting practices. We are currently preparing the farm as a breeding farm for pure bloodline game.

 

SANDVELD HUNTING LODGE offers a fully professional hunting service, managed by experienced hunting guides. Our hunting related facilities include a slaughter room, cool room, target practice area, experienced guides and trackers, equipped vehicles for tracking and spotting game.

We cater for both international, local hunters and eco-tourists. Our diversified accommodation options include 5 luxury chalets, 2 tree houses and 4 wooden log houses that make the most of that true outdoor experience.

SANDVELD HUNTING LODGE has proven to be a perfect venue for small bushveld weddings, functions and team building. We have accommodation for 25 guests and space for tents to accommodate extra guests. We also have two separate Lapa’s with kitchen & DSTV facilities. We also offer the ideal nature breakaway for the whole family that includes bird-watching, safari trails, 4×4 tracks (no private vehicles allowed in the parks), hiking, swimming, a bow hunting range at the camp site and much much more.
